Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients :

Honey garlic sauce

1/3 cup of honey

1 tablespoon of minced garlic

1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce (see note)

1/4 tasse de ketchup

1 teaspoon of dried oregano

Crockpot chicken and vegetables

2 pounds of chicken thighs, boneless, skin

1 pound baby red potatoes

1 pound peeled carrots

1 cup chopped onions

1 pound green beans, chopped up

Fresh parsley, chopped, to serve as optional

Salt and pepper to taste

Cornstarch Mud (optional)

2 teaspoons of cornstarch

3 teaspoons of water

Instructions :

In a small bowl, whip together honey, garlic, soy sauce, oregano and ketchup.

Add chicken thighs, potatoes, carrots and onions to a 4-6 quart slow cooker.

Pour the honey and garlic sauce mixture evenly on top.

Cover slow cooker and seal lid. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-3 1/2 hours (see note).

About 20 minutes before serving, add green beans to the slow cooker and optional cornstarch husk to the sauce.

Re-seal the lid and cook for 15-20 more minutes until green beans are tender and gravy begins to simmer

Remove the chicken and vegetables from plates with a slit spoon. Optional: Grill the chicken thighs for 2-3 minutes to brown the skin.

Drizzle sauce on chicken and vegetables. Optional garnish with minced parsley.
