Rotel Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents

Published

on

Ingredients:

1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained well

2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent rolls

Directions:

Prepare the Filling:

In a skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and well-drained Rotel. Mix until evenly combined.

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Assemble the Crescents:

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough over the filling, starting at the wide end and tucking in the edges as you roll to seal the filling inside.

Bake:

Arrange the filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.

Serve:

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. These are perfect as appetizers, snacks, or a savory breakfast treat.
