Healthy Crack Burgers
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Whole grain burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Avocado slices
**INSTRUCTIONS:**
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped onions, whole wheat breadcrumbs, parsley, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until well blended.
2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 4-6 depending on your preferred size.
3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
4. Toast the whole grain burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
5. Assemble your burgers by placing a patty on each bun, then topping with lettuce, tomato slices, and avocado.
