Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce
Ingredients:
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Step by Step:
Season the Steaks:
Generously season both sides of the filet mignon steaks with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Filet Mignon:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest while you prepare the sauce.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium.
Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Dijon mustard. Stir constantly until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Serve:
Pour the creamy Parmesan mustard sauce over the filet mignon steaks.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
TIPS:
For extra richness, deglaze the skillet with a splash of beef broth or white wine before adding the cream.
Pair with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
Let the steaks rest for 5-7 minutes before serving to retain their juices.
