Easy Copycat KFC Coleslaw

Ingredients:

For the Coleslaw:

1 medium head of green cabbage, finely chopped (about 8 cups)
1 medium carrot, shredded
1/4 cup finely chopped onion

For the Dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Prepare the Vegetables:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped cabbage, shredded carrot, and chopped onion. Toss to mix evenly.

Make the Dressing:
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, milk, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

Combine:
Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture. Toss well to ensure all the vegetables are evenly coated.

Chill:
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld.

Serve:
Stir the coleslaw before serving and enjoy it as a side to your favorite fried chicken, BBQ, or sandwiches.
