Crispy Hashbrown and Sausage Bites
Ingredients:
1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
3 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed and drained
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked, crumbled sausage, shredded hashbrowns, cheddar cheese, beaten eggs, and flour. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Form the hashbrown mixture into small patties or balls. Once the oil is hot, fry the patties in batches, flipping once, until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain the fried hashbrown bites on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with dipping sauces such as ketchup or sour cream. These crispy bites make a perfect breakfast treat or appetizer for gatherings, combining the savory flavors of sausage and cheese with the delightful crunch of hashbrowns.
