Cozy Winter Treat: Cinnamon Swirl Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients:

Bread:

1/3 cup light brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 3/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup milk

Apple Mixture:

2 large apples, peeled and chopped

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tbsp milk

Directions:

Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

Cinnamon Swirl: Mix brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon; set aside.

Apple Mixture: Toss apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon; set aside.

Bread Batter: Cream granulated sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Gradually mix in flour, baking powder, and milk, alternating dry and wet ingredients.

Assemble: Pour half the batter into the pan. Layer with half the cinnamon-sugar and apple mixture, pressing lightly. Add remaining batter, topping with the rest of the apples and cinnamon-sugar. Swirl with a knife.

Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

Glaze: Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread.
