Chicken with Creamy Dijon Sauce

Published

on

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey
Fresh parsley for garnish

instructions:
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat each chicken breast evenly in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and honey. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and let it warm through for 2-3 minutes.
