Published

on

Ingredients

tablespoons butter

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 jalapeño, diced

1 pound ground beef

½ cup soy sauce (low sodium optional)

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

Optional: Cooked rice, for serving

Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and jalapeño. Sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften and become fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat for a leaner dish.

Stir in the soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve the beef and pepper mixture over cooked rice for a hearty and flavorful meal, if desired.
