Bacon Cream Cheese Spaghetti

Ingredients:
Spaghetti – can be substituted with any pasta you wish!
Milk – whole milk makes a thicker sauce and 2% milk makes the sauce a tiny bit thinner
Cream Cheese – plain or onion and chive cream cheese can be used for extra flavor
Bacon – cook and crumble the bacon beforehand. You can make bacon fresh in a skillet or use precooked bacon.
Cream of Chicken Soup – can be substituted with cream of mushroom soup or cream of bacon soup.
Garlic Powder – if you don’t keep this on hand, you can also use minced garlic.
Onion Powder – if you don’t keep this on hand, you can also just use Italian seasoning.
Italian Blend Cheese – a delicious blend of white cheeses!
Salt and Pepper – to taste! Measure with your heart:)
The pasta cooks and boils to an al dente finish in the cheesy sauce. This is the kind of meal the whole family will love! It’s warm, rich, creamy, and so flavorful with the perfect combination of flavors and textures. The recipe makes a lot (a whole 1 lb box of spaghetti, penne, or pasta of choice), so you can feed a crowd or look forward to the leftovers in the fridge!
Instructions:
First, stir together the milk, cream cheese, and soup in a large pot. Milk burns very easily, so it is best to do this over medium heat stirring regularly. Once the cream cheese is fully melted, add in some of the grated cheese, bacon, as well as seasonings. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. After that, prepare a baking dish with some non-stick spray.
Cheese sauce with spaghetti
Next, break the dry spaghetti in half and place it in the pot bubbling with cream cheese pasta sauce! The pasta will boil in the sauce rather than water. This quick step is why I LOVE easy pasta recipes!
Once the pasta is cooked, which takes around 8-10 minutes, transfer the noodles to a 9″x13″ pan. Add additional cheese and bacon, then bake to perfection! The bake time is only 15 minutes! It is a wonderful dinner to serve with a side salad or fresh veggies. For example, asparagus, zucchini, or broccoli. You can add a little extra protein by using the spaghetti as a side to chicken. However, it is a perfectly delicious meal on its own.
