Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken tenders
  • 4 slices of turkey bacon
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

**INSTRUCTIONS:**
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
3. Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of turkey bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
4. Coat the wrapped tenders lightly with olive oil and then roll them in the brown sugar mixture until evenly coated.
5. Place the chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
6. Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
